This page explains how to request deletion of your GroundBrain account and the data associated with it. GroundBrain is published by GroundBrain UK Ltd.
Your account exists under a contract between your employer and us, which includes a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) under Article 28 of the UK and EU GDPR. Your employer is the data controller; we are the data processor and act only on their instructions. Deletion and retention are set by the DPA.
If your employer provides the Service to you, please make these requests to them. As their processor we will assist them in answering you, but we cannot act on their data without instruction. For data where we are the controller, contact [email protected].
You can also send the request to us and we will route it:
| Data | What happens | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| Account data | Deleted, so the account can no longer be used | Within 30 days of the request being verified |
| Data you created in the app | Retained as your employer's data under the DPA, unless they instruct us to delete it | The period set in their agreement with us |
| Technical data and logs | Kept for security monitoring, then deleted | 6 months |
| Records we must keep by law | Retained, for example tax and accounting records | 6 years |
Data can persist in encrypted backups for up to 35 days after it is removed from the live Service. If you hold an account that is not provided through an employer, we delete the data you created along with the account.
On termination we delete the data or return it to them, as the DPA requires.
Uninstalling the app does not delete your account. Use the steps above.
See the privacy policy for what we collect and why.
